TCA Announcements

January 11, 2017

*2 More changes 1/16/17:

No practice for any teams due to all schools being closed. For safety reasons, it is TCA policy to cancel when schools cancel.

Necedah Games for the boys teams are now this Thursday the 19th at HOME at the GYM. JVB @ 6:30 pm, VB @ 7:30 PM. (The online volunteer workers sign up is changed-go sign up!)

Another Update from Tri County Athletic Director Scott Benson:

Due to the latest weather and schedules we need to move this Friday (Jan. 13th, 2017) night’s Necedah games to Friday the 27th (same times). This will be at The GYM by Cornerstone School in Viroqua not at Westby Elementary as previously scheduled. Westby had reschedules of its own and is not available to us that night, so No Practices there either.

HOME GAMES for the GIRL’s TEAMS are on as scheduled for Fri., Jan. 13, 2017:
JV Flames vs Academy of Excellence 7:30 pm at The GYM
V Flames vs Academy of Excellence 6:30 pm at The GYM

Thank you everyone for your patience and ability to adjust to these changes.

The schedule has been updated online for your convenience.

Please look over the online sign-up and help us fill all of the slots for the remaining Home Games at The GYM. (The sign-up link is private, let us know if you need the link.)

Kicking off the Season with Madison Area Home School Round Robin

November 4, 2016

Blazers and Flames have been working hard in this first week of practice and are heading off to Portage on Saturday (Nov. 5, 2016) for the Madison Area Home School Round Robin Scrimmage Games.

Players should be at The GYM in Viroqua by 7 am!

Varsity Blazers will play at Wayne E. Bartels Middle School. (Map)
JV Blazers and Varsity Flames will play at John Muir Elementary. (Map)

Schedule

There is a paved path between the schools. It is on the back side, opposite the street, of the larger parking lot in between the schools. Use the front doors at Wayne Bartels and the doors to the left at John Muir.

Concessions will be available: Jimmy John’s half sandwiches, Pizza Hut, pork sandwiches, fully loaded tacos, hot dogs, and more. Concessions are well priced and help pay for the gym time at the Portage schools and keep entry fees low. The larger, full concession area with seating will be in the Wayne E Bartels School and a smaller concession area will be in the John Muir School.

Here’s to kicking off another great basketball season!
Go Blazers! Go Flames!

MANDATORY FUNDRAISING FOR BASKETBALL

We are very appreciative of the generosity of the Clark family and the GYM facility in Viroqua. Admission fees and concession sales during Home Basketball Games at the GYM go directly to cover facility expenses for our program usage.

If your child participates in the basketball program, you will need to put in hours working at the admission table or concession stand during HOME Basketball Games at the GYM.

This is NOT optional and is necessary for your participation. It is separate from other fundraisers and not part of program fees.

The required number of hours will be approximately 3 hours per player. Player and parent hours count equally toward your total.

If for any reason you are not able to work these hours, we will assess an additional fee of $60 per player.
